Yes, but under certain conditions depending on the Stadium store you have chosen. If you have selected one of our staffed live stores (Stockholm: Stadium Ringen, Gallerian, Drottninggatan) (Malmö: Stadium Södergatan) (Helsinki: Stadium Forum) (Göteborg: Stadium Fredsgatan), it is possible to change the distance as long as there is availability before you pick up your race packet in the store. If you have chosen any other store than the ones mentioned above, you can change the category until June 9th.

Extra info – Stockholm: If you are in starting group 1A–3C, you cannot change from the 10 km or 21 km race to the 5 km race.

Yes, it is possible to change your starting group depending on which Stadium store you selected, subject to availability and as long as you have not yet collected your race package.

Please note: It is no longer possible to change your starting group for Midnattsloppet Stockholm. Changing your race category is still possible.

All requests regarding starting group changes or race category changes (for example, from 10 km to 5 km) are handled by customer service and cannot be made directly in store.

Yes, it is possible to change the name, but under certain conditions. The conditions for changing the name depend on the Stadium store you chose for picking up your race kit.

If you selected one of our “live stores” below, you can change the name, through your confirmation e-mail, up until the following dates:
– August 9 in Stockholm – Live stores: Stadium Ringen, Gallerian, Drottninggatan
– August 23 in Malmö – Live store: Stadium Södergatan
– August 30 in Göteborg – Live store: Stadium Fredsgatan
– September 6 in Helsinki – Live store: Stadium Forum

If you did not choose any of the above Stadium stores or opted for home delivery, you can make changes until June 9.

The name change costs 100 SEK. You do this by following the link provided in your confirmation email. If the link is not there, the deadline for making changes has passed.

If this is not a transfer to a new participant, but instead you have, for example, changed your last name and would like to update your information, please contact our customer service at kundservice@midnattsloppet.com and we will help you directly.

If you have lost something from your race kit (for example your timing chip or start group wristband), please visit the information tent at Runner’s Corner on race day, where replacements will be available for purchase. Please note: Subject to availability.

Start certificate

The start certificate for the Midnattsloppet will be sent approximately 7–10 days before the race day to the email address you provided during registration.

Sometimes the start certificate may end up in your spam folder. Please check there before contacting customer service kundservice@midnattsloppet.com

Your start certificate will be sent about 7–10 days before the race to the email address you provided during registration. Sometimes the start certificate may end up in the junk folder, so please check there if you haven’t received it in your inbox. If it’s not there either, you can email us at: kundservice@midnattsloppet.com and we will send a new one.

If you register less than 7 days before the race, the starting permits will be sent out continuously. Within a day after registering, the starting permit should have appeared in the email address you provided during registration.

 

No, you can only pick up your starter kit at the selected Stadium store. If you are unable to pick it up yourself, someone else can do it for you. Remember that the person picking it up must bring your proof of registration.

No, you cannot. It is the participant’s responsibility to pick up their start package at the chosen Stadium store during the store’s regular opening hours before the race.

If, for some reason, you are unable to pick up the start package before the race, there will be a limited number of start packages available at the information tent for purchase, subject to availability, at the full registration fee.

If you have lost your start package or parts of it, you can also purchase a new one there if there are any left.

Yes, you can do that. You can pick up your start kit during the selected Stadium store’s regular opening hours.

Yes, that’s OK.  The person picking up your start kit just needs to show your start certificate at Stadium.

All participants registered for Midnattsloppet must pick up their race kit at the Stadium store they selected during registration. This does not apply to those who have chosen home delivery of the race kit or those starting in start group 1A.

Distribution begins a few days before race day, with exact days varying between races. In Stockholm, distribution starts on Monday, while in Malmö, Helsinki, and Göteborg it begins on Wednesday. All distributions occur during the Stadium store’s regular opening hours.

Shirt

Yes, that’s fine! Please note that the person picking up your shirt needs to bring your start certificate.

Yes, it is possible to change your t-shirt size depending on which Stadium store you selected, subject to availability and as long as you have not yet collected your race package.

Please note! It is no longer possible to change your T-shirt size in Stockholm or Gothenburg, as the races are sold out.

All t-shirt size change requests are handled by customer service and cannot be made directly in store.

Changing t-shirts on race day
On race day, there will also be a meeting point at Runners Corner where participants can exchange t-shirts with each other. You can find the location on our interactive map.

Yes! The participant t-shirt is mandatory to wear during the race.

Exceptions are elite runners in start group 1A, costume participants, and participants in Lilla Midnattsloppet and Glada Midnattsloppet.

 

Find

Runner’s Corner is the meeting point for runners before and after the race. The area is located close to the start and finish line.

Here you will find our runner services, including toilets, an information tent, and water refill stations.

Adjacent to Runner’s Corner, you will also find the bag storage.

Here you can leave your bag that you don’t need during the race.

  • The bag drop-off is free of charge.
  • Midnattsloppet is not responsible for valuables and we do not have any lockers.

Opening hours: Stockholm 20:00–01:15, Malmö 19:30–23:30, Helsingfors 19:30–23:30, Göteborg 19:30–23:45

Along the 10 km course, there are two water stations, one of which also serves as a water station for the 5 km race. Here, water and sports drink are served. The placement along the course varies slightly depending on which city you are running in.

Before the start, there is an opportunity to refill water at Runner’s Corner. You will also receive fluids after crossing the finish line.

Applies to Stockholm only: We have an extra water station for those running the 21 km. Water, sports drinks, and toilets will be available there.

There will be toilets at: water station 1, water station 2 as well as at start and finish.

Medical care and first aid is available at the start, finish and along the course.

For your safety, we ask you to write your name, social security number, and ICE (number for next of kin) on your start group wristband.

If you or another runner is in need of medical care during the race, please notify the nearest course official (with a yellow or orange vest). In case of emergency, it is important to quickly contact an ambulance by calling 112. Seek assistance from officials, fellow runners, or spectators if needed.

Results

If you want a nice memory from the race, you can buy a diploma as an additional product when registering. You will receive a nice diploma with a drawing of the Midnight Run motif with your name and finishing time. The diploma costs 85 SEK and will be sent a few weeks after the race.

You can also purchase a diploma after completing your registration. Contact our customer service at kundservice@midnattsloppet.com and they will assist you.

After finishing the race, you will receive the following:

  • Your time will be uploaded directly to the results list.

  • Event staff will assist you if you’re feeling especially tired.

  • A refreshing drink from Vitamin Well awaits a bit further ahead.

  • A bar from Be-Kind (Note: contains nuts).

  • A banana from Chiquita.

  • Water for those who want it.

If during the race you feel that faster runners are catching up, keep to the right so they can pass on the left side.

Stockholm

The maximum time for the 10 km race is 90 minutes (counted from the last starting group). The cutoff point will be at the 5 km timing point at 00:02. If you reach that point after this time, officials will stop you and inform you how to return. They will also remove your timing chip to document that you have exited the race and assist you in the right direction.

Malmö

At 22:24, we will close the course at the 6.6 km mark. See the location here.
If you pass this point after that time, race officials will stop you and inform you how to get back.
They will also remove your timing chip to document that you’ve exited the race and guide you in the right direction.

Göteborg

At 22:36 we will stop for lap transition at Tyska Bron. See the location here. If you reach the 5 km mark at 22:36 or later, you are not allowed to start the second lap and must proceed directly to the finish.

The maximum time for 10 km is 90 minutes (counted from the last starting group).
The maximum time for 5 km is 45 minutes.

Helsinki

The cutoff time for the 10 kilometers is 95 minutes (calculated from the last starting group).
The cutoff time for 5 kilometers is 45 minutes.

The course will close at 5.98 km, at the pedestrian crossing after the bridge, at 22:33.
If you arrive there after this time, the officials will stop you and direct you towards the 9 k mark to your left. 
They will also remove your timing chip to document that you have withdrawn from the race.
You are still welcome to run to the finish line, but you will not receive an official finish time.
